Mel Varvel - completed her first Ironman last weekend in NZ and came an excellent 7th in her age group despite losing 30 mins to a puncture!
Finihsing in 11 hours 28 mins (with the puncture time) she was on for the sub 11 hours she had trained for had the puncture not occurred!
