The first Wattbike League has been established by Phil Kelly of Lichfield Cycling Club and Friary Grange Leisure Centre.
The Wattbike is the first commercial bike that replicates the feel of riding on the road and gives accurate feedback on watts, speed, cadence, distance and many other cycling parameters (up to 29) via an advanced computer monitor and powerful performance analysis software.
Two leagues have been established - an Adult league running over 10 weeks and a Youth league running over 7 weeks. Full details and results can be found on the Lichfield Cycling Club website www.lichfieldccc.co.uk.
Using a specially developed race software system it is possible to replicate cycling races of all descriptions from straightforward scratch races through to Points, Devil and even the Keiran.
